A high percentage of our business is repeat business as they know we carry the job through from the first hole excavated to the final sweep on completion! With an enthusiastic management team that is very hands on and proactive with any concerns or queries we have established ourselves as a highly regarded family run company who puts our customers first.
Our Management Team
Greg Alderson has had a passion for the building industry from a very early age, it was clear from the age of six that he wanted to follow in his father’s and Grandfather’s footsteps. Greg received his first toolbox and tools when he was five years old and since that day he has always had a passion for joinery. Greg studied for seven years at college, firstly in joinery and carpentry and then went on to do his Level 3 HNC in building. Whilst studying Greg spent time learning all aspects of the trade on site.
Greg runs the business alongside his highly experienced Contracts Manager Ian Dunn, together they continue to run a professional and reputable building business that Greg’s father, grandfather and great grandfather worked so hard to achieve.
Outside of work Greg enjoys time with his family, and especially enjoys his holidays which allows him time to relax and recharge his batteries. Greg manages is sons football team and has taken great pride and pleasure in doing this since they were small, especially when they win!!!
Greg is proud of his family business and takes pride in carrying this forward for future generations.
From the age of 16, Ian has been an integral part of the company. Serving a full 5 year apprenticeship in joinery, Ian gained great knowledge in not only in his trade but the whole of the building industry.
With the willing and the want to better this knowledge, Ian enrolled himself into night school and whilst plying his trade here at Aldersons through the day he gained himself his HNC in building studies on an evening and now after 27 years with the company has never looked back.
When not in work mode, Ian’s passion is football, if he’s not watching his beloved team, he finds himself heavily in involved at grass roots level and maybe not as much as he’d like, even playing himself!!!
Ian also enjoys a little ‘me’ time where he can spend time with his family, whether this be days out or on holiday he finds time to chill out and relax.
Joan has been part of the Alderson ‘team’ for the past 33 years, seeing many changes over the years. She enjoys looking after our customers from their first enquiry, to the end of their contract, treating them all in the same friendly manner. Sorting out any queries and passing on the information to Greg/Ian to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied with the service they receive from Alderson’s.
Joan in her spare time enjoys walking her two dogs and spending time with her grandchildren.
